The food story
Lately Hana has been feeling a little frustrated. She sits at the table with her family and watches us eat*, but we're not offering her any food.
So she decided enough is enough. She got in the car and drove herself and her dad (because she knows who carries the money) to the store**, where she bought some Rice Cereal.
After coming home, she asked her mom to mix her up some cereal.
"What?!?" she thought, "Is this what they are eating?"
And tried some more.
"Mmmmmmm. Pretty good!"
So Hana has been eating rice cereal since June 1st, 2006.
Then she notices that our food seems to be different colours.
Back to the store she goes. (She's such a good driver; she watches her side mirror to make sure no one is in the way.)
And comes home with some carrots. She really likes the colour orange, which is why she picked them.
"Wow, this tastes DIFFERENT!" she thinks.
"But I like it! More please!"
In fact, Hana likes it so much, we're far too slow feeding it to her and she is feeding herself.
And that's how Hana came to be eating rice cereal and carrots.

**Notice how she needs a pillow to see. Just like her mom!
