PICTURE 1 - The area next to the stove needs to be protected from steam from cooking.

PICTURE 5 - New island kickplate developed same issue as past kickplates and sides and is to be removed to have the island match the rest of the kitchen. The fibre board is too porous to provide any water resistance.
Most other kickplates in the kitchen show the same damage.
