We're expecting Baby Number 2

We are home! We were discharged from the hospital Sunday and made it home around 1:00pm to a welcome reception from Dawn's parents, her sister Gwen and Gwen's boyfriend Adam, and Hana. Hana enjoyed being home again and helping put Sara's clothes and supplies away. Hana is now back at Dawn's parents for the week so that Julian and Dawn can get used to having a newborn again!
June 16, 9:34pm. Sara has her own page now, that you can visit
here.

COUNTDOWN TO BABY:

When the baby arrives and Julian makes it home, he'll put pictures in this directory.

Links to look at:
  • Ultrasound pictures were taken at St. B. hospital. See "Herbert" here! Do you want to remember Hana's ultrasound? Click here for her pictures.
  • Visit pictures of the newly painted nursery here.

Baby #2 Nedohin-Macek is due to enter the world sometime around June 10, 2008! For now we've code named this one "Herbert," mostly because it's hard to say he/she/it all the time. No, we don't know if it's a boy or girl yet.

But wait, Dawn isn't the only one expecting in her family! Her sister, Erin, is also due in June. Erin is due June 23, 2008 with her first child. How do we compare? In measurements a few weeks ago, Dawn's belly is 44 inches and Erin's is 42 inches, so she has some catching up to do. Click here for their picture. On May 27, Dawn is 47 inches and Erin is 44 inches. See a picture here. And here's one last comparison picture from June 10, 2008 here.

or ? Now taking guesses! Email Dawn and let her know when you think this baby will arrive! Visit the complete list of guesses here!

    What does week 40 mean?

Some guesses are starting to come in... looks like a lot of people wish for a boy this time. Less than a day until we find out!

    From BabyCentre.com:

It's hard to say for sure how big your baby will be, but the average newborn weighs about 7 1/2 pounds (a small pumpkin) and is about 20 inches long. His skull bones are not yet fused, which allows them to overlap a bit if it's a snug fit through the birth canal during labor. This so-called "molding" is the reason your baby's noggin may look a little conehead-ish after birth. Rest assured . it's normal and temporary.

Using groceries will help you picture how big this baby is: Look here!
